Kenneth Dodson's Jumbo Tolman
Crystal Waters, A 24' Tolman Jumbo
After 1 year of planning I have finally started my 24' Tolman Jumbo on January 29th, 2005. I have been reading the Tolman Group emails for a year and feel I have learned a lot from just reading. I thought I would share my limited progress to date. I picked up my Skiffkits CNC kit about 6 months ago but due to financial considerations just started putting it all together now. So far I have built the building jig, glued up the bottom panels, completed the transom, an asymmetrical design, and ripped and shaped my stringers. I temporarily covered the building jig with plywood to give me a surface to scarf the plywood bottom and side panels.
