Wide Body Transom Plywood
« on: July 09, 2013, 07:27:44 AM »
I am putting together material to build a Wide Body Skiff and have a sheet of 3/4 plywood that could be used for the transom thus saving the cost of another sheet of 1/2 ply. Other than the small amount of added weight, would I be creating any other problems?

You should be okay as long as it's not so thick that the motor mount won't fit over it. My tohatsu will fit over a transom up to 3" thick.

Thanks Jim...  appreciate your response. I will watch the thickness issue.
