Cuddy cabin interior finish
« on: December 08, 2014, 12:36:52 PM »
OK so after two seasons use I must consider finishing the inside of the cuddy cabin.  I need your ideas on what material seems to have worked the best.

Hull liner on the ceiling and sides down to the bunk.  Bunk tops covered with outdoor carpet from home depot (glued down).  Painted from the sides of the bunks down to the floor.

Here's what mine looks like with the carpeting.

Painting the ceiling is much easier than Hull Liner and it doesn't fall down.

Also, the adhesive that I used, spread with a notched trowel.  Still in place after ~3 years.

Yep. Built into the carpet. Big remnant piece and dirt cheap at Menards.

Send away for the Sailrite catalogue (sailrite.com).  They have half a dozen different fabrics for hull liner options.  Some are flat vinyl, some are more plush, some are washable, some are mildew resistant etc. They also have instructional videos on how to install them. I believe all of them are installed with a spray on adhesive that they also sell.  I'm going to line my cabin ceiling and sides with hull liner next year.
