One of my sons lives on BI.  I will ask him to be on the lookout.

A local (more or less) dealer told me there is a new Tolman owner on Bainbridge Island.  I'd like to get in touch with that person, so if someone has contact info, or are that person, pls contact me.

Message me, if you wish.

We got back from our last major trip of the year Saturday, went halibut fishing yesterday, and I was in the shop today. Fishing season has died down though we are attempting to fish on the boat once a month year round. We put 200 hours and 1,800 miles on our other boat this summer so I didn't get much shop time in.

It's time to get back on the boat big time. I got 1 of the 2 cuddy sides cut out today and the first round of bilge paint in the crash chamber and fuel tank compartments today. 2 more boat work days till I head back to work.

We printed out Steve Dampiers build blog (   ) and used the heck out of it during our build 2003. Found it more though than the book, but then again I'm not sure the book was available then? We're pretty much in damage control mode trying to get a trip into California before the diving season wraps up. If we hadn't gotten the one good tuna run in we'd have a unproductive year. As always come by to check our boat if you need any design ideas and have a homebrew. Might seem a distraction but think about building a vacuum-chamber bagger this winter. B & B
EDIT: if the supply chain doesn't close it out this pump makes the project affordable.

Busy building/working/Dadding/Husbanding etc. Been putting a hurting on the Fall Chinook and smoking up the catch.
Will be putting on the crash chamber deck tomorrow, got my gunnel caps all cut, need to get them stuck on.  Only cut one piece on the wrong line, fortunately only cut about 18" and I had a perfect sized scrap piece to make up for it.
I've come to not really sweat mistakes at all, epoxy and fiberglass can fix most booboos.
Renn's directions for laying out the gunnel capping were confusing as hell, but like most steps in the process, once I got going it was not terribly difficult.

Weather got nasty here a few weeks ago.  I was hoping to do one more trip, but got shut out.  Weather is fine on the water, but there's 400 miles of winter between here and there. :(

Sure is quiet. This thing working or is everyone busy building or getting in the last fishing trips and boat outings before the weather gets nasty?

They just bought a 25’ Ranger Tug.  My sister said watching me finish out my Jumbo was making them jealous.
