Hello from Tacoma Wa
« on: December 01, 2021, 04:18:50 PM »
Hello, I have an 18' in Southeast Alaska that I purchased last summer and am planing on building a 20' widebody with a center console and gear locker to have in Washington for throwing pots and fishing.  I am glad there is a forum for these boats, they are awesome, I love the one i have already and can't wait to have another.

Welcome to the forum. Where in Southeast Alaska is your boat? I'm in Juneau.

Unless room constraints are an issue build bigger. I started building a 20' widebody and stretched it to 23'6" and am glad I did. I do have a set of stringers for a 20' Tolman in my shop that need a home.

The 18 is in Juneau, i am going to build another in Tacoma WA.  I have some size constraints on where i will be storing it, no so much shop constraints.

Understandable on the storage, would a folding tung on the trailer help fit a bigger boat in your spot?

Let me know if you want to BS about tolmans when you are in Juneau, that's a nice looking 18 footer by the way. I like the simple windshield design.
