mixing epoxy

I stole my wife's electric hand mixer from the kitchen this weekend.  Used it with just one beater blade on low speed, worked great for mixing epoxy.
This one has the fine round stainless steel mixing beater so it does not try to whip air into the epoxy.
much easier than hand mixing, I know others have used a drill and coat hanger.
Wife wanted a new mixer anyway.

I used a table top drill press on slowest speed and a plastic paint mixer.  I just held the cup and lifted it to the mixer.  Worked well, especially big jobs like fillet and taping stringers.  I also used it for mixing the thick fillet mix.

Does anyone use the two phase method recommended by Aeromarine? Mix in one container then pour into second container?

Occasionally, when my mixing container is tall and narrow. It helps with vertical mixing but soils two containers instead of one.

Normally I use a short wide mixing container and a digital-age, high-tech, speed-of-light device known as a stick.
