Crimping tool
« on: April 10, 2020, 01:53:53 PM »
What do you folks recommend for a crimping tool for larger cables, e.g. AWG 2?  I can't think why but nearly all seem to be made for the European market as their dies are all measured in mm.
Thanks,  TE

I bought one of these Harbor Freight crimping tools on sale for about $40 several years ago.  Works as advertised every few years when I need to fabricate cables.

Same as Jim's, works great! I lend it to my buddies when they are doing wiring, they love it! Can't beat the price

West Marine used to have a crimping tool on hand to use for free in the store near me. Perhaps other marine stores have them.

I solder mine using a small hobby torch instead of crimping.
