Looking for a widebody
« on: February 20, 2023, 11:09:55 AM »
I am looking for a center console or tiller widebody. I will travel anywhere for the right one. I prefer a 4 stroke but will consider others. Galvanized trailer, since it will be used in the salt. Self-bailing deck a plus. No poured foam. Feel free to P.M me if you know of one available.
Tight lines!

I figured this category would have more people looking at it.

Not sure where you are located, but in the 'for sale' section, but Dave Nolan's widebody would be the one I would buy. I like doghouses, but I am sure you can pull his off and slap together a console to your liking for short money.

I have a new merc 60hp I was going to put on a widebody, but I am happy to sell it to you for what it cost me.
best,
KenB

Thanks for the offer with your motor, thinking I will need a 90 hp outboard to be able to carry the extra weight of a 40-gallon live bait tank. I fish Bluefin Tuna offshore in California. I am really looking for something I don't have to do much to. I may not be able to get what I am looking for but thought I would at least try.

is buidling your own out of the question? An open widebody should not be too long of a build.

In that case Nolan's Jumbo might be the ticket! Fishy Boat.

I don't have a shop to build one unfortunately. Once in a blue moon I have seen a few on here for sale. I will keep my fingers crossed.

Are you west coast? I'd happily drive a Nolan hull to you half way, it that helps. Precedent is the classic seacraft forums, where there was a parking lot somewhere in colorado where a few seacrafts got exchanged, on bicoastal moves.

But yup keep checking craigslist. So much good stuff pops up here on cape cod.
