The first step was to make splines in the butt ends of the chine joints. These are more for alignment than strength.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I then epoxied the butt ends on each end of the chines. Later after they had set up I patched a strip of 6oz fiberglass cloth over the joints

 

The next day I realized I had made a big mistake which prompted the MayDay!

Today I again cleaned up the transom edges then glued up the chines.
