Alaskan Boatbuilders, Plaschem is selling their retail/wholesale divisions to Fiberlay effective 4-16-12.

New address:
Fiberlay
401 International Airport Rd. #30
Anchorage, Alaska 99518

Phone: 907-274-5505
Website: www.fiberlayalaska.com, I see their alaska website is not up yet, but www.fiberlay.com is.

Fiberlay stocks many more boat building products & tools than Plaschem.

I had heard a rumor that Fiberlay was coming to Alaska.  I had hoped it was going to be in addition to the current vendors, not instead of.

I really enjoyed getting the stuff/advice I did at Plaschem.  I hope the new changes don't diminish the quality of that experience.  Anchorage does need more variety of supplies available locally.

Shucks...they were awesome.  The owner was awesome and VERY helpful. I'm glad for Randy though he was sick of paying the Muni outrageous taxes! I will keep this in mind, though CAC in the valley has been awesome this winter.
