Thanks for the pictures.  How did you get paint to stick to the UHMW?

Now go to bed Monkey Boy!

Sorry about that John - I saw the name of your skiff and immediately thought of the line from a book I have read to my kids...

But seriously, the paint stuck to the UHMW? I guess I didn't know it was possible.

very funny, I have not got that one for my wee boy, as the boat is named after him " Monkey Boy"

Sorry but what does UHMW stand for? I hav painted the boat with Gloss paint and its great and works nothing damaged against the Northsea Weather.

Mark (Not John, as i live in Johnshaven Scotland) Look it up on Google Maps

Well Ed C

My boat is mainly used for creels Lobster/Crabs during the seasonn but i also do a wee bit of fishing cod, Mackerel just local food for the creels. I take my freiends out and people who have never been out in a boat. I take them down to St Cyrus as it has a very nice beach normaly has some dolphins around. So plenty of OOO's & ahhhhh? that kinda thing. Last year we had a tall ship pass (photo posted), So shot out to see them.

Now and again i shoot up to "Gordoun" village for a pint O beer and meet the locals i know, but then again its only 7 mins flat out on a good day. I can get 23knots from the wee Honda 40 i put on.

We get some good Lobsters here.

Mainly I just love being out as i only live about 90 seconds from the harbour

How many Tolman boats are in the pictures from Johnshaven? Are the two red boats one and the same? The trim is different color. Looks like there is a Tolman revival going on over there!
